Dematic builds in Atlanta
Dematic is building its new global headquarters on a 40,000 sqm area of real estate in Atlanta (GA, USA). With this move, the intralogistics specialist will also expand its staff on site: about 230 additional jobs will be created in Atlanta. The global company headquarters will support a network of subsidiaries with a total of 7,000 employees in 27 countries.
“With our head office in Atlanta we lay the foundations to strengthen our position as a provider of integrated automation technology, software and services to optimise the supply chain,” says Hasan Dandashly, Dematic’s president & CEO.
Until now, Dematic has operated several offices in Atlanta with a staff of more than 100. The new facility will centralise resources and strengthen the company’s local position. “The global headquarters is also a key component of our international growth strategy,” Dandashly explains. (mw)
