Delta Cargo rolls out SAF programme
As part of Delta’s net zero strategy, Delta Cargo has launched a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) programme to help increase the supply and availability of SAF. This programme will enable cargo customers to reduce their environmental footprint and create a more sustainable future.
Sustainable aviation fuel is the best way to make a direct impact on emissions from aviation. Bio-based jet fuel production is a renewable process and can reduce life cycle emissions up to 75% compared to fossil fuel.
In 2020, Delta became the first carbon neutral airline on a global basis - committing to carbon neutrality from March 2020 onwards and balancing its emissions with investments to remove carbon in its global operations. (cj)
