DB Schenker's 18th terminal in Poland


DB Schenker is expanding its network of 17 terminals in Poland and opening a new facility in Toruń, Kuyavian-Pomeranian region. The property includes a cargo handling hall with an operating area of more than 4,800 sqm and modern office spaces on a plot spanning 41,000 sqm.

 

DB Schenker's 18th terminal in Poland is equipped with 54 docks for trucks and a special ramp for snow removal. A charging station for electric cars is also located in the area. With the new hub, the company can now offer several daily connections between Toruń and the most importatnt cities in the country.

 

The facility was built in cooperation with real estate developer Panattoni. It is furnished, inter alia, with an integrated light signalling system covering the ramp and the docks to enhance safety when unloading and loading of consignments. (ben)
