DB Schenker grows with Daimler in Australia
The truck manufacturer has commissioned Schenker to operate its new contract logistics warehouse in Melbourne in the Australian state of Victoria.
The storage facility encompasses more than 40,000 spare parts for trucks and buses and stocks everything from small washers to complete truck cabs. It has more than 50,000 individual storage spaces, including a 4,000 sqm mezzanine floor and a high-bay area with additional storage space for pallets more than 10 m high.
The new hub strengthens Daimler Truck's delivery capability throughout Australia and New Zealand, the manufacturer said. (ben)
