Dachser to host webinar on alternative fuels
Dachser Chem Logistics Switzerland and Austria are hosting a webinar on 16 April 2024 (15.00 h -16.30 h) on "Managing the logistics balance sheet: importance, CO2e calculation and alternative fuels". The event is aimed at experts from the chemical industry in both countries.
The use of alternative fuels in logistics is controlled by a regulatory and technological framework. In addition to a heterogeneous set of national legislations, the EU is laying down clear guidelines for zero-emission commercial vehicles.
The webinar will focus on "EcoTransIT World" - the world's most widely used software for the automated calculation of energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, air pollutants and external costs. In logistics, it is the industry standard for calculating greenhouse gas emissions for all modes of transport on the basis of ISO 14082.
The programme makes it clear that processes must be designed to be sustainable, particularly in chemical logistics. The event concludes with a discussion round.
This webinar will present the current level of relevant technologies and show how important it is to consider the upstream fuel chain from a greenhouse gas perspective, even for zero-emission vehicles. It will enable participants to share their own views with other company representatives and the speakers, discover potentials for innovation and optimisation and discuss feasible solutions.
