Cool Rail to extend network in Europe
Transfesa Logistics and Euro Pool System (EPS) have signed an agreement to operate the Cool Rail service. One of the advantages of this alliance is the expansion of the first direct rail connection for refrigerated products between Valencia (Spain) and Rotterdam (The Netherlands) to the UK.
The new route from Valencia to London will offer Cool Rail's British customers a fast, sustainable and economical transport solution, Transfesa said.
Along the same lines, the commissioning of a direct train to Cologne (Germany) will allow Cool Rail to reach Scandinavia, Poland and Czechia through Germany.
The new alliance reinforces the strategy of promoting international rail corridors backed up by a door-to-door service. (ben)
