Connecting three continents with one service
DHL Global Forwarding, the freight forwarder of Deutsche Post DHL Group, has launched an airfreight charter connecting the Asia-Pacific region to Europe and the USA, to meet demand from customers in the technology, manufacturing, life sciences and healthcare sectors.
Managed by Starbroker, the company's in-house charter team, the twice-weekly service takes off from Chongqing (China) and flies to Amsterdam (Netherlands), Chicago (USA) and Seoul Incheon (South Korea) before returning to Chongqing.
Thomas Mack, global head of airfreight, said that "while some passenger airlines have resumed operations, the situation in the airfreight market remains volatile – especially as belly capacity is still tight. DHL Global Forwarding’s top priority is to provide our customers with sufficient and reliable airfreight capacities." (ah)
