CN to strengthen its rail network in Manitoba
Canadian National Railways (CN) plans to invest CAD 120 million (EUR 79.5 million) in Manitoba in 2019 to strengthen the company’s rail network across the province. The planned expansion projects include, inter alia, a new train passing siding east of Winnipeg and the construction of 10 km of double track west of Portage la Prairie.
The öprojects in Manitoba are part of CN’s 2019 record CAD 3.9 billion (EUR 2.6 billion) capital investment. CN is currently deploying important safety enhancing technologies across its whole network, modernising its locomotives and infrastructure as well as expanding capacity. (ben)
