Ci5 operational in New Caledonia
The autonomous port of New Caledonia has now effectively launched its smart port system. On 2 November 2021, the first ship called the port of Noumea, the archipelago's capital, using the new community logistics system Ci5, which is edited by MGI and operated by Gipanc on the territory of New Caledonia.
In May 2021, MGI sent a first team to define the principles and details of the system. A second MGI team of three people trained around 100 operators in October alongside Gipanc.
A next phase of the project is planned for early 2022, with the implementation of export functionalities and advanced interfaces with New Caledonia's customs system. (sh)
