Chinese-Russian efforts to create an «Agroexpress»
RZD Logistics in Russia and the platform company YuXinOu in Chongqing, China, have signed an agreement on the joint development of services for the railway delivery of Russian food products to China.
According to the provisions of the agreement, the two companies intend to work on expanding the geographical scope of Agroexpress, a specialised railway service for delivering Russian food products to China, and plan to conduct a series of shipments from Russia to Chongqing by the end of the year.
Some of the proposed cargoes are goods requiring transportation in compliance with temperature and veterinary controls. YuXinOu (Chongqing) Logistics also plans to participate directly in the sale of Russian goods in China. (ben)
