China to Slovakia train relaunched
Trans Eurasia and Metrans, together with partners from Ukrzaliznytsia, TransContainer and ZSSK Cargo have renewed the regular weekly train connection between Xian in Chian and Dunajska Streda in Slovakia.
The first – renewal – train arrived at the Metrans terminal in Dunajska Streda within 11 days and proved the success of the chosen alternative routing via Ukraine and the Slovakian terminal Dobra. The capacities at the 1520/1435 mm border at the Dobra terminal show that “it works”, Metrans said.
From the Metrans hub in Dunajska Streda the containers reached the customers within 48 hours – all across Europe. Departure from Xian is scheduled for every Monday and the arrival to Dunajska Streda for every Friday/Saturday. (ben)
