CCTT and GETO search for solutions for trains in Eurasia

The Coordination Council on Trans-Siberian Transportation (CCTT) and the Group of European Trans-Eurasian Forwarders and Operators (GETO) have agreed to cooperate more closely. The aim is a better coordination between all parties along the 12,000 km long transport routes of the new Silk Road.

While China already has established freight platforms that offer a set of rules for the planning of transports, goods flows in the EU are confronted with a system of insufficiently coordinated infrastructures and logistics.

Therefore, the two organisations intend to develop proposals for the coordination of innovative technologies and existing IT solutions and to increase their cooperation concerning customs procedures, digitalisation and the harmonisation of international law, even with regards to the last mile of a delivery.
