Cargoclix installs Slot within 24 hours
The spread of the Covid-19 pandemic is throwing supply chains into confusion. Truck drivers in the food industry often report long waiting times at ramps for the loading and unloading of their cargo.
The Freiburg (Germany)-based on-line market platform Cargoclix has now set up a task force that installs Slot within 24 hours. Slot is a time slot management system that can be adapted to the requirements of each individual user. It is currently being used by more than 75,000 customers.
The installation is free of charge, if no complex interfaces have to be programmed. Booking a time slot costs EUR 0.50. Booking costs may be borne either by the operators of the location or their logistics services providers.
"We have adapted our capacities so that every customer operating in this current situation can immediately use Slot to manage and optimise processes and personnel deployment at the ramps," says Victor Meier, consulting partner at Cargoclix. (mw)
