Carbon-free trucks for breweries

Beer brewer Carlsberg's Swiss branch has ordered 20 electric trucks from Renault. The 26 t, 100% electrically driven type D Wide Z.E. vehicles will be delivered to Carlsbergs‘ Swiss breweries Feldschlösschen in Rheinfelden near Basel over the course of this year.

The e-trucks will travel 100 – 200 km per day powered by C02 neutral fuel to supply Swiss customers with beer from 15 logistics hubs in the country. The vehicles will go into serial production at the plant in Blainville-sur-Orne (Calvados, France).

Feldschlösschen's breweries have been campaigning for emmission-free logistics for a long time. Today, most of their production sites are connected to the rail network. (ben)
