Building a hub in Germany's Ruhr region
In a joint brownfield project, Prologis and Yusen Logistics have started to build a 57,200 sqm building in Bottrop, Germany. The town is strategically located in the Ruhr area, giving it access to several industries and proximity to supply chains.
With its all-electric facilities, heat pumps and solar panels, the hub is expected to save an estimated 7,000 t of CO2 annually. Yusen Logistics will use the logistics centre with two facilities as a central warehouse for Mitsubishi Electric and its European activities. It is set for completion at the end of 2024. (mk)
