Brisbane to build new distribution hub
The Brisbane Airport Corporation has announced plans for a distribution hub for Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solutions to further expand its logistics portfolio.
The Oslo-based logistics company, which specialises in the global distribution of cars, trucks, agricultural, construction and mining equipment etc., provides logistics solutions for manufacturers in the automotive, rolling machinery, and project cargo industries in Australia. Brisbane will be its sixth location in the country.
The Brisbane Airport Corporation will develop a 6,000 sqm building and a 42,000 sqm hardstand area to open in early 2023. The Wallenius Wilhelmsen facility will also include a warehouse, workshop pits and overhead gantry cranes. (sh)
