Boosting business in Barcelona
Palletways has invested in a new eco-friendly hub that will speed up deliveries to Catalonia and Balearic Islands. The new 2,100 sqm hub is situated in the ZAL in the Spanish Port of Barcelona.
Responding to a growing demand for logistics services in the region, the launch will bring operational efficiencies to the local network and the group at large.
As it will initially handle domestic shipments, the facility will free up capacity at the hubs in Madrid and Zaragoza which handle international consignments from the group’s networks in UK, Benelux, Germany, Hungary and Italy. This addition takes the number of hubs in Palletways’ Iberia network to four in Spain and Portugal. (ben)
