Black series with Let L-410 continues
Two L-410s crashed in unrelated incidents last week. While four parachutists out of a total of 19 people on board lost their lives in the crash of the aircraft with registration RF-94603 in Siberia, the failed take-off of a Kin Avia aircraft at Bukavu Airport (BKY), DRC, was officially a cargo flight.
But the plane was carrying 1.6 t of cargo and one passenger. All three people in the aircraft lost their lives. In August last year, a Doren Air Congo L-410 crashed on approach to BKY. Four people lost their lives on the cargo flight.
Both Kin Avia and Doren Air Cargo are on the EU blacklist. (ah)
