Björn Scheel confirmed CEO of DPD Germany
DPD’s supervisory board has officially confirmed the following changes in the company’s management in Germany: Björn Scheel, formerly interim CEO, has been appointed CEO of DPD Germany with immediate effect.
Günter Pfaff will become the new chief operating officer (COO). Justin Pegg (COO DPD UK) has been elected new chairman of the supervisory board of DPD Germany, effective 1 July 2023.
Scheel has served as CEO on an interim basis since 1 January 2023. Prior to that he had been COO for DPD Germany since 1 March 2021. Scheel has extensive experience in the international logistics and aviation sectors and has already led several large companies.
Among other roles, Scheel was employed by LSG Group, a Lufthansa Group company for almost ten years. He has been working for DPD since 1998. (cj)
