Belgrade joins intermodal network
Swiss intermodal operator Hupac has added another connection to its network in Europe. The new train links the Dry Port Terminal Pancevo in Belgrade (Serbia) with the WienCont terminal in Vienna (Austria).
The shuttle service operates once a week and provides a seamless connection between Serbia and various hubs in Western Europe, including Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and France, Hupac says.
The intermodal operator adds that the new rail link can save 0.9 t of CO2 compared to transport by truck. The transit time is two days. (ben)
