Belarus and Russia join forces
Belarusian Railway and Russian Railways (RZD) have signed an agreement on cooperation in rail traffic, the procedure for transferring wagons, containers and cargo and maintaining the railway infrastructure between transfer stations.
The companies reviewed their cooperation in 2020 and discussed joint activities for 2021. RZD-Chief Oleg Belozerov sees Belarusian Railway as a reliable partner in the development of transit services on the China–Europe–China axis. Last year, more than 550,000 containers (teu) were transported across Belarus, 60% more than in 2019. (ben)
