Basel Gateway Nord: equal shares
The partners are restructuring their stakes in the planned Basel North terminal. In the future, the three Swiss logistics and transport companies Contargo, Hupac and SBB Cargo will each hold one third of the shares. The trimodal project was launched by the three companies as a planning entity in 2015.
Now the shareholder structure has been divided on a parity basis. The chairmanship of the board of directors will rotate annually between the shareholders. Gateway Basel Nord expects to receive planning approval from the Swiss Federal Office of Transport in the course of 2023.
Holger Bochow, chairman of the board of directors of Gateway Basel Nord, emphasised the importance of "joint control" for the centennial project. (sh)
