Award for US short-line railroads
In the USA, OmniTRAX recently honoured some of its short-line railroads for safety, culture and performance in the framework of its annual national leadership meeting in Denver (CO).
The OmniTRAX “railroad of the year” award went to Brownsville & Rio Grande International Railway. The BRG had a 25% year over year increase in carloads, an almost 20% year over year rise in revenue, and the last FRA reportable derailment was more than 16 years ago.
The US transport company also recognised some of its other short-line railroad affiliates for their safety and on-time performances and selected them for the OmniTRAX best metrics awards, which are presented to the top operations. (ben)
