Automated storage on 190 sqm
Dematic has installed an automation solution at the warehouse of a Spanish healthcare logistics provider to improve storage processes on an area of 190 sqm. This project was completed at Grupo Servicio Móvil’s Madrid hub, where the logistics company stores medical supplies for a nearby hospital.
Equipped with Dematic’s Autostore system, the site now features capacity for three carousel port workstations, seven R5 robots and over 5,005 containers. In line with the hospital’s requirements, this solution improves sorting accuracy and can be adapted to changing circumstances and future growth. With regenerative energy-powered robots and no need for lighting, this system is also energy-efficient.
The two companies have been collaborating since 2012 and have previously worked on a multi-shuttle solution in northwestern Spain to support the local healthcare sector. (mk)
