Austria-Belgium shuttle now runs almost daily
Austrian railfreight operator Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has operating rail services from Linz to the ports of Antwerp, Zeebrugge, Ghent and other major industrial areas in Belgium for seven years.
Due to increasing demand in the steel, chemical, mineral oil, paper and building materials sectors, RCG is now increasing the frequency of this connection to six round trips per week.
This means that RCG is now transporting wagonloads (including dangerous goods) between Austria and Belgium almost every day, RCG says. The transit time is one day. RCG's Transfer services also include end-to-end connections from the first to the last mile if required. (ben)
