Augmenting storage capacity in UK network
Maritime Transport, a container transport company headquartered in Felixstowe, is investing in storage space at the Port of Ipswich. To this end, it has signed an agreement with Associated British Ports (ABP) to operate a site with a capacity to store up to 2,500 teu.
This extension increases Maritime Transport's container storage capacity by 12% across its network. Containers will be loaded off-dock at the West Bank Terminal and then trucked to the A12 and A14 for further transport. (sh)
