ATSG flying high with Amazon

Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), a US provider of wide-body aircraft leasing, air cargo transportation and related services, posted adjusted ebitda of USD 312.1 million in 2018, a 16% increase vis-à-vis 2017. 2018 was the company’s second straight year of double-digit growth.

Joe Hete, president and CEO: "Our acquisitions of Omni Air and rights to 20 more B767 feedstock aircraft from American Airlines, plus the extension and expansion of our agreements with Amazon, strengthened our platform."

For 2019, ATSG projects adjusted ebitda of over USD 445 million, resulting from "strong returns" from the work for the US department of defence, as well as for customers like Amazon and DHL. Eight to ten newly converted B767Fs should go into service as dry-leased aircraft, including the five ATSG will deploy for Amazon. (ah)
