As many rail access points as possible
56 German associations and organisations have submitted a charter containing 97 measures to the country's federal government. The Association of German Freight Wagon Owners VPI says that many more access points are required to ensure a modal shift to eco-friendly rail transport and achieve the goal of increasing railfreight’s share to 25% by 2030.
The charter is an updated version of the document presented in 2019. The measures include proposals for building more connections and expanding tri- and multimodal hubs and transhipment terminals. (ben)
