Arvato expands logistics partnership with Douglas
Arvato is expanding its cooperation with the Douglas Group, now handling fulfilment operations for Douglas Customers in Italy, Poland, Central Eastern Europe and the Baltic countries, in addition to services in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Two new distribution hubs are the keys to this expansion. A 46,000 sqm centre in Mszczonów (Poland) and an 18,000 sqm facility for warehousing and fulfilment in Bologna (Italy). Both will support B2C and B2B omni-channel operations by Douglas.
The Polish site exceeds ESG standards, featuring Breeam ‘outstanding’ certification, smart metering and renewable energy infrastructure. Operations are set to begin in late 2025. Both facilities will initially serve regional markets, before more countries will follow. (js)
