Arvato aims for high-tech
Arvato is expanding into data centre services by taking over ATC Computer Transport & Logistics, an Irish provider of specialised technology and logistics solutions.
From ATC’s hub in Dublin, Arvato has now gained access to a Europe-wide network of transport and tech services for data centre operators. It can now integrate ATC’s expertise into its own logistics portfolio, which gives it a foothold in the high-tech freight forwarding sector. The aim is to create comprehensive solutions for the data centre life cycle.
"With the combination of our global know-how and the strong network of ATC Computer Transport & Logistics, we are strengthening our position in a dynamic market segment,” says Mitat Aydindag, president tech at Arvato. Once the transaction has been approved by antitrust authorities, the companies can work together to boost tech solutions for the logistics sector in Europe and beyond. (mk)
