APM Terminals Mumbai a 'Top-Performing Terminal'
APM Terminals Mumbai (GTI) is once again listed as 'The Top-Performing Terminal' in India in a ranking published by NICDC Logistics Data Services in January 2023. With the highest volumes of any gateway terminal in India, APM Terminals Mumbai offers the lowest dwell times for export and import containers.
According to Sunay Mukherjee, chief operating officer at GTI, “people are our most important asset.” Their efforts enable GTI to keep dwell times to a minimum. Another advantage for GTI is that the staff uses the 'Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) Events' approach to map processes in detail, which helps to save precious minutes on the front lines, reduce waste and improve safety.
