APM announces changes at the helm


APM Terminals' chief executive officer Morten Engelstoft has decided to retire. He will be succeeded by COO Keith Svendsen, with Henriette Hallberg Thygesen appointed as the company’s new chairperson.

 

Engelstoft (left) joined Maersk in 1986 and served in many different roles in seven countries, including as CEO of Maersk Shipping Services and earlier COO of Maersk Line. He was appointed CEO of APM Terminals in 2016.

 

Svendsen (right) has been with A.P. Moller - Maersk since 1990 and COO of APM Terminals since 2017. Before that, Svendsen held several senior positions in China, UK, Turkey, Denmark and the Netherlands for Maersk Line, Maersk Logistics/Damco and APM Terminals. (cj)
