AOI Capital buys RK Logistics in California
RK Logistics Group, a Californian 3PL logistics firm specialising in warehousing and e-commerce fulfilment, has been acquired by a group of investors led by Miami-based AOI Capital, which was founded in 2009. This acquisition marks an expansion of AOI Capital’s participation in third-party logistics services.
The RK Logistics Group operates in Newark, Fremont and Hayward, employs over 300 associates and manages some 93,000 sqm of warehousing and distribution capacity. It also operates the South Bay’s only certified, general purpose foreign trade zone. Its founder and chairman, Rod Kalune, retired when the sale for completed. (sh)
