Another tenant for London Gateway logistics park


Oasis Group has become the second business to move to DP World’s port-centric logistics park at London Gateway in UK since it became a freeport, as the 836,127 sqm site 45 km from central London continues to attract major investment.

 

This month, the information management services provider took possession of a sustainable 10,120 sqm warehouse at the rapidly expanding logistics hub at London Gateway is a central pillar of Thames Freeport.

 

The new customised warehouse complies with the highest sustainability standards and features 21 m clear height to the eaves, DP World said. With a Breeam ‘outstanding’ classification, the Oasis Group facility delivered a 30% carbon reduction during the construction and will ensure a 40% reduction in operational carbon emissions.

 

Over the last decade, DP World has invested GBP 2 billion (EUR 2.26 billion) in UK. It has earmarked a further GBP 1 billion (EUR 1.13 billion) of investment for the next ten years, with a GPB 350 million (EUR 395 million) new fourth berth at London Gateway scheduled to open in summer 2023. (ben)
