Another railfreight service to Doncaster

Logistics group Woodland has launched a new railfreight connected service in UK at iPort Rail, Doncaster. The train moves containers between ports of Felixstowe and Southampton with further services to London Gateway and Immingham to follow. By May, more than 140 container movements are expected per month.

The new offer comes after Woodland Group opened an 18,116 sqm fulfilment and distribution facility at the 3,237,485 sqm multimodal logistics hub iPort, developed by pan-European specialist Verdion.

iPort Rail has been growing fast since it opened nearly three years ago. Today, the terminal runs eight daily services moving around 2,000 containers through the facility every week. (ben)
