Another acquisition in Southern Germany
International transport and logistics service provider Gebrüder Weiss is taking over 100% of the Rentschler Transport + Logistik forwarding company based in Altensteig, Baden-Württemberg (Germany). 80 employees will transfer to Gebrüder Weiss. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. This acquisition is another step GW’s growth strategy in Southern Germany.
The Altensteig location, 60 km south of Stuttgart, complements GW’s network of land transport hubs in Southern Germany, which already includes Esslingen, Aldingen, Lindau, Memmingen, Nuremberg, Straubing, Waldkraiburg and Passau, the forwarder said. (ben)
