An acquisition in Saxony-Anhalt

Krage & Gerloff Logistik has taken over a new site in Magdeburg in the state of Saxony-Anhalt (Germany). The hub previously belonged to the Hannover-based Ritter Logistik until the companies signed the deal on 15 March 2024. Measuring 2,500 sqm, it was built in 2001 by Ritter Logistik and has been used for general cargo services, part and full load transports, as well as air and sea freight.

Krage & Gerloff is looking to capitalise on future developments in Magdeburg, such as the EUR 30 million investment that Intel is making in the region. Nearby, Daimler Truck is also building a new facility for its spare parts production. By taking over the site and its 45 employees, the logistics provider can expand its market presence in the city and the state. (mk)
