American Expediting conquers Boston
American Expediting is taking over City Express, a Boston-based player in first and final-mile delivery. With this acquisition the company has enlarged its footprint and its healthcare logistics portfolio in New England. The price of the transaction was not disclosed. The deal will grow the company's life science operations in terms of both market share and geographical scope.
Founded in 1989, City Express operates a medical courier network specialising in condition-sensitive biotech and medical deliveries, including warehousing and cross-docking services in the New England market. It has a special focus on healthcare and last-mile deliveries. (sh)
