Alta Signa's marine underwriting bid
Alta Signa Europe, a managing general agent (MGA), launched its new European marine underwriting business on 18 January this year. Focusing on core marine insurance lines, the unit is backed by partners like Axeria Iard, Sirius Point, and Sompo International and led by Francesco Dubbioso, a seasoned insurance professional. The team includes experts in various marine insurance areas, such as hull, yachts, cargo, and marine law.
In a press release, Alta Signa's CEO, Gerard Van Loon, expressed his excitement about the expansion beyond the company’s existing portfolio, while Francesco Dubbioso emphasised the growth potential in the European marine market. (pb)
