All-electric trucks receive ECWVTA certification
Volta Trucks has received the European whole vehicle type approval for its 16 t all-electric Volta Zero vehicle. The European Community ECWVTA certification allows Volta Trucks to produce and sell the all-electric Volta Zero in volume. This process ensures that all vehicles meet the stringent and relevant environmental, safety and security standards.
The certification comes as the second-generation ‘production verification’ prototypes are soon to be delivered to customers in Europe as part of a pilot fleet of vehicles. The units will be loaned to customers, allowing fleet operators to test them. Series production is on track to start in early Q2/2023. (ben)
