Alessi joins Lamprecht
The board of directors of Swiss provider Lamprecht Pharma Logistics (LPL) in Pratteln, a subsidiary of Lamprecht in Basel, has appointed Gian Carlo Alessi as new managing director. On 1 June 2021, he will take over from Urs Suter, who will stay in the company as key account & project manager. Alessi will also remain president IG Air Cargo Switzerland's regional section.
Prior to joining LPL, Alessi had led the freight department at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse (EAP) since 2012. Mike Schwyn, who has worked at the EAP for 20 years and who became head of airline development last year, will take his place.
After his apprenticeship as a forwarding agent at Danzas/ DHL, Alessi worked in various functions in the sales and customer service sectors, and as head of Air France and KLM Cargo, Switzerland. (amh)
