AIT acquires GSDMIA
AIT Worldwide Logistics has reported that it has acquired the Miami-based forwarder GSDMIA, thus strengthening its service capabilities in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the USA.
The deal enhances AIT’s expertise in air and ocean freight, with GSDMIA’s particularly experienced in sectors such as cosmetics, HVAC equipment and tech hardware.
GSDMIA co-founders Wenzel Lewinsky and Joao Rios will join AIT’s Miami office as sales and station managers, bringing a combined 60 years of global logistics experience with them. The acquisition “will allow us to take the tailored, value-added services we’re well-known for to an even higher level,” Rios said. (js)
