AI-driven ETAs enhance logistics
Hapag-Lloyd has partnered with Here Technologies to enhance global supply chain visibility by integrating Here Tracking into its “live position” solution, equipping over 1.5 million containers with advanced tracking devices. This collaboration aims to improve inland estimated time of arrival (ETA) predictions for shipments in Hapag-Lloyd’s extensive rail, barge, and truck networks.
By leveraging AI-powered predictive ETAs, Here Tracking offers real-time monitoring, geofencing, event-based alerts, and post-trip analytics to enhance operational planning and customer satisfaction.
Full fleet implementation of ETA prediction is planned for early next year, marking a significant step forward in supply chain management for Hapag-Lloyd. (pb)
