ADL gets three green trucks
The new vehicles - two FM Electric 4x2 trucks and an FH Aero 460 6x2 tractor unit - join the two Volvo e-trucks which Alliance Flooring Distribution (ADL) received in early 2024. The UK-based company is now operating all five Volvos from its recently opened carbon-neutral Worcester distribution centre.
Equipped with the maximum six batteries, the FM Electrics each offer a range of 300 km. Both feature three electrical motors – generating an output of 666 hp and 2,400 Nm of continuous torque.
The new FH Aero has a sleek aerodynamic cab that reduces energy consumption and emissions by up to 5%, Volvo says. (ben)
