Adidas to deploy mobile robots in Suzhou

Geek+, which provides mobile robots for logistics, and Adidas have opened a distribution centre in Suzhou, China.

This fully automated warehousing and distribution hub covers 139,000 sqm. It can process more than one million pieces per day, with the capacity to hold ten million pieces of apparel and footwear.

Geek+'s logistics robot solution customises procedures to detect the location of the items, significantly enhancing operational safety and aligning with the requirements of human-machine collaboration. The solution also features intelligent scheduling logic for efficiency.

Harm Ohlmeyer, global chief financial officer of Adidas: "With the establishment of this centre, Adidas aims to ramp up supply chain responsiveness, boost operational efficiency, and elevate consumer experience." (mk)
