Craiss Generation Logistik is expanding its site in Weis, Austria by 20,000 sqm to strengthen its partnership with its customer, Siemens Energy. By enhancing the warehousing capacities of the hub, which was first opened in 2021, Craiss seeks to meet the growing demands for logistics services in the technology sector.
The project will add 10,000 sqm of free storage space and 600 sqm for offices. It will also give Craiss access to railway networks, enabling more railfreight transport instead of trucking. Weiz also offers good connectivity to the city of Graz nearby.
Set to be reopened in 2026, the hub will be part of the collaboration between Craiss and Siemens Energy and give the latter the space it requires for its technological operations. (mk)
