Abu Dhabi to enhance freight transport safety
The state-owned Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) in Abu Dhabi has begun implementing the new provisions of the freight transport regulation in the Abu Dhabi Emirate. All all services related to land-based freight transport activities will now be available online on the “Asateel” platform.
This electronic system is linked to a tracking software and a central database that allows to monitor the position of the vehicles by connecting to the tracking devices. The platform helps customers to track the movement of their vehicles in real time, streamline operations and monitor drivers’ compliance with traffic rules. The aim is to enhance security and safety on the roads, ITC said. (ben)
