A wind farm milestone for Taiwan
Jumbo Offshore has successfully completed the transport and installation (T&I) of 80 transition pieces (TPs) at the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan. Deploying the DP2 heavy lift crane vessel “Jumbo Javelin”, the project involved TPs of up to 450 t. It was completed ahead of schedule while maintaining a strong safety record.
The wind farm, located in the Taiwan Strait, will generate up to 640 MW of clean energy, powering 600,000 Taiwanese households. (pb)
