A third facility in Copenhagen
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has opened a third cargo-handling facility at Denmark's Copenhagen airport. The new terminal 3 cargo building adds a further 3,700 sqm of warehousing space to WFS’ handling infrastructure in Copenhagen, where it handles more than 100,000 t of cargo a year, transported on board passenger and freighter aeroplanes.
WFS has extended its range since it opened its first Scandinavian handling operation in Copenhagen in 2008. It now serves more than 30 airline operating flights to and from the Danish capital. It also provides cargo-handling services for more than 125 offline carriers.
Its cargo warehouse originally covered 4,600 sqm. In 2010 WFS added a 3,000 sqm terminal 2 facility, and in 2019 it invested in a 1,500 sqm, GDP-certified pharmaceuticals facility. (sh)
