A second Il-96-400T for Sky Gates Airlines
The Russian full-freighter operator Sky Gates Airlines has expanded its fleet with another Il-96-400T wide-body aircraft.
The new unit, with the registration RA-96101, was manufactured by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), a part of the Russian state-owned defence conglomerate Rostec. Sky Gates now operates two Il-96-400T and one Il-76TD. The Il-96-400T can carry up to 92 t of cargo and has a range of 5,000 km when fully loaded. With a load of 40 t, the range rises to 11,550 km.
The aircraft will be used in the company's existing cargo network. Sky Gates is a subsidiary of Red Wings Airlines, which is a part of the Rostec Group. (ah)
